Customer Groups

What are groups?

For purposes of easy control over users, permissions and access, they can be organized in groups. B2BKing allows you to create groups, assign users to groups and then control aspects such as available payment methods, or product access permissions.

What can be done through groups?

Through groups you can control:

  • Available shipping methods
  • Available payment methods
  • Minimum order amount
  • Maximum order amount
  • Specific price on a category or product
  • Hidden price for a category or product
  • Tax exemptions,
  • Fees
  • Discounts
  • Required multiples
  • Free shipping
  • Offers can be made available to specific groups
  • Product/Category visibility can be set to specific groups

B2BKing provides these and many other features and customization that are deeply integrated with groups.

Here is an example of how you can set a specific product's visibility to specific groups:

Another example:

How you can set a discount of 5% on a specific product, if the user orders at least 100 products and at least $1000 in value for the "Factories" group. This can be done through dynamic rules as you can see in the next image:

Group integration with registration

Another example of how groups work within B2BKing is at registration. A specific registration role can be assigned to be automatically approved and assigned to a customer group. In the next example the "Walmart employees" registration role is automatically assigned to the "WalMart" group.

What this looks like in the registration panel:

B2BKing introduces registration roles and custom registration fields assigned to each role. For more information, see the dedicated "Registration" documentation page.

Another example of integration is the situation of manual user approval. When manually approving a user, you can choose which group you should assign the user to, as evidenced in the next image:

Approving the user and assigning him to the "Small Businesses" group

There are many other examples and groups are deeply integrated within B2BKing at all levels
